Monitoring overdispersed process in clinical laboratories using control charts

چکیده

Overdispersion is a phenomenon that generally occurs in the analysis of large sample sizes. In discrete data analysis, it refers to presence variation higher than implied by reference Binomial or Poisson distributions. The proportion nonconforming units clinical laboratories presents high variability and, generally, overdispersion. Therefore, required analyze most appropriate control charts overcome limitations traditional deal with overdispersed data. This paper performs an monitoring process using charts. methodology consists four steps: (i) Determination interest variable, (ii) Diagnosis overdispersion, (iii) Elaboration charts, and (iv) Analysis results. results show can quantitatively determine degree overdispersion select chart for process.

Monitoring Process Steps Using Vssi Ewma Control Charts

1. Abstract The article considers the variable process control scheme for two dependent process steps with incorrect adjustment. Incorrect adjustment of a process may result in shifts in process mean, ultimately affecting the quality of products. We construct variable sample size and variable sampling interval (VSSI) control charts to effectively monitor the quality variable produced by the fir...

approximation effects on control charts for process monitoring

in statistical quality control a very widely used measure is average run length (arl) which may be worked out by different methods like integral equation, approximations, and monte carlo simulations. the arl measure and the other related measures are of major significance in every type of production process. an omission in its computation (and hence its related measures such as extra quadratic ...

Autocorrelated Process Monitoring Using Triggered Cuscore Charts

Some of the most widely-investigated control charting techniques for autocorrelated data are based on time series residuals. If the mean shift in the autocorrelated process is a sudden step shift, the resulting mean shift in the residuals is time varying and has been referred to as the fault signature. Traditional residual based charts, such as a Shewhart, CUSUM, or EWMA on the residuals, do no...

Memory-Type Control Charts for Monitoring the Process Dispersion

Control charts have been broadly used for monitoring the process mean and dispersion. Cumulative sum (CUSUM) and exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) control charts are memory control charts as they utilize the past information in setting up the control structure. This makes CUSUM and EWMA-type charts good at detecting small disturbances in the process. This article proposes two new mem...

One-class classification-based control charts for multivariate process monitoring

One-class classification problems have attracted a great deal of attention from various disciplines. In the present study, we attempt to extend the scope of application of the one-class classification technique to statistical process control (SPC) problems. We propose new multivariate control charts that apply the effectiveness of one-class classification to improvement of Phase I and Phase II ...
